Focus Rx

Here is the 80/20 checklist I use when I need direction fast to focus my efforts on what matters.

"The quality of your life is determined by the quality of the questions you ask yourself" - Tony Robbins

  1. What do you want?

Make sure it’s S.M.A.R.T.

Reflect on the deep reason why this must happen.

This clarity will likely solve your problems.

If overly emotional about all of the complexities talk with a trusted person or chatGPT. The result should be clarity.

2. What is the ONE most enjoyable action you are willing to perform to make THE MOST progress towards the goal?

The journey and the destination should both be positive. Else you create a lot of unhappiness on the way that will later sabotage the achievement.

Identifying what has already been working tells you where to spend more of your resources.

3. What is the ONE largest constraint?

Often there is something in the way of our path that we need to side step. Clarity on this helps.

Physically write down your responses and put them somewhere you will see daily until you achieve the action item, then perform the routine again.

A weekly reflection like this is helpful!
